Why using Twitter as a news hub is a bad idea.
Like many people, I usually read news from free sites and payed-sites. For many years I had committed a big mistake: using Twitter as a concentrator of news. In my opinion, the act of reading is for seeking pace and resetting my mind from a routine, learning, or just for entertainment. But the way that Twitter works is so fast, putting an endless stream of information on your timeline, so, catching good twits is almost impossible and in the best case it ends up overwhelming you.

Meanwhile, I want to see fewer twits (mantra: less is more) and only produced by people, not for companies or businesses. These make me feel like part of the community, not just a target.

Currently, I´m using Feedly, which makes great work arranging the sources and its reading mode is clean and incentive to read more. Using categories and exploring continuously what I like and what does not, enable me to refine the information shown in my distinct dashboards. Good features are read later and the number of allowed articles by source. Again, less is more. This app is plenty of features such as integrations with Evernote, Pocket, and Buffer.
So, please, do not hurt your attention and use each application for what was built. Try to keep you informed siloing quick information from enjoyable and betterment information.
